High Plains Bank Construction Photography in Denver, CO

Quick answer

This bank construction photography Denver project documented the newly built High Plains Bank for our construction client, Buildings By Design. We combined drone photos with exterior and HDR interior photography to show the finished building, the quality of the build, and the builder's range, giving the client polished images for proposals, their website, and marketing.

High Plains Bank

Project Overview

Rocky Mountain Photography recently completed an in-depth photoshoot of High Plains Bank, a newly built local bank build by our construction client, Buildings By Design. The shoot utilized our most common Commercial Real Estate Services.

By capturing professional photos using drones, as well as exterior and interior HDR photography we showcased our client’s attention to detail and professionalism in construction and their ability to build yet another style of building.

Builders win new work by showing finished projects, and a new bank is a strong example: it has to feel secure, welcoming, and professional from the parking lot to the teller line.

For this project, Rocky Mountain Photography photographed the completed High Plains Bank building for the contractor that built it, using the same services we use for most commercial real estate shoots.

Commercial construction photography in Denver for builders

Construction firms need finished-project photos that show craftsmanship, not just a building. That means straight verticals, accurate color, clean sightlines, and details such as materials, lighting, and trim. Our goal on this shoot was to give Buildings By Design images that show the care that went into the build and that fit a new style of building into their portfolio.

Drone photography for builders in Denver

Drone photos placed the bank in context: the full footprint, the parking and entry, the landscaping, and how the building sits on its site. Aerial angles also show roof lines and massing that are hard to appreciate from the ground. For builders, these views explain the scale of the project at a glance and work well as lead images on websites and proposals.

HDR interior photography in Denver for a finished bank

Banks mix bright windows with darker interior spaces, which is a challenge for a single exposure. HDR interior photography blends several exposures so the lobby, offices, and service areas look natural and evenly lit while window views stay visible. The result shows finishes, layout, and lighting the way people experience them in person.

Bank photography in Denver, Colorado beyond construction

The same images that help a builder market its work can also help a bank introduce a new branch to its community. Exterior photos help customers recognize the location, and interior photos show a welcoming space. For more on photographing financial buildings, see our bank and credit union photography page.

Planning a finished-building shoot

Schedule the shoot after punch-list work and landscaping are complete, and before signage or furniture changes. Clear vehicles from the front of the building, turn on all interior and exterior lights, and let us know about any security procedures. A short walkthrough before shooting helps confirm the views that matter most.

Frequently asked questions

What services were used on the High Plains Bank project?

We used our most common commercial real estate services: drone photography for aerial context, exterior photography of the finished building, and HDR interior photography of the inside spaces. Together they gave the builder a complete set of images for marketing a newly completed project.

Why do builders need professional construction photography?

Finished-project photos are often the first thing a prospective client sees in a proposal or on a website. Professional images show workmanship, materials, and design accurately, which helps a builder prove experience with a building type and stand out when competing for similar projects.

When should a new building be photographed?

The best time is after construction and landscaping are complete, the site is clean, and before tenants or furniture change the look of the space. For exteriors, our team picks a time of day with flattering light, and twilight sessions are an option for some buildings.

Can drone photos be taken near a bank?

Yes, in most cases. Our Part 107 certified pilots check airspace for every address and request FAA authorization where it is needed. We also coordinate with the property contact about security and timing, and avoid flying directly over people.

Can I book a similar commercial building shoot?

Yes. If you have a newly completed bank, office, retail, or other commercial building, book commercial real estate photography and add drone coverage. Share the address, completion status, and how you plan to use the images so our team can plan the right shot list.

How are finished-building photos used by builders?

Builders use finished-building photos in proposals, qualification packages, websites, award submissions, and social media. Images of a completed bank show experience with secure, customer-facing buildings, which helps when bidding on similar commercial projects and when introducing the firm to new owners and developers.

Can the bank itself use the photos?

Usage depends on the agreement with the client who commissioned the shoot. When a builder and an owner both need images, we recommend planning usage up front so each party can use the photos for its own marketing. Ask our team about shared usage when you book.
