Multifamily Virtual Staging in Denver, CO

Quick answer

This multifamily virtual staging Denver project started with interior photos of a newly built apartment building for our developer client. The units looked too empty, so we digitally furnished them with furniture, rugs, coffee tables, and art. The staged images give each space a lived-in feel and are used to lease and rent the property.

Multifamily Virtual Staging

Project Overview

We recently captured professional photos of a newly built multifamily apartment building for our developer client, but something was missing. While the client was pleased with the apartment interior photography quality, they felt that the units were a bit too empty.

Luckily, we were able to show them our portfolio of virtually staged properties and they were excited to commission our services to fill up the spaces digitally and we were happy to accommodate!

This project is an example of how RMP can fully furnish an apartments virtually with furniture, rugs, coffee tables, and even art to efficiently and professionally showcase building’s interior, exterior, and give it a lived in feel.

Our client loved the images and they’re being used today to lease and rent out the property. If you have a property that could also benefit from virtual staging, please reach out to our team today!

New apartment buildings often hit the market before model units are furnished. Empty rooms photograph cleanly, but they make it hard for renters to judge scale or imagine living there.

For this project, Rocky Mountain Photography photographed the units and then used virtual staging to furnish them digitally for our developer client.

Apartment interior photography in Denver first

Good virtual staging starts with good photography. We captured the units with level verticals, accurate color, and balanced exposures so windows, finishes, and floors look natural. The client was pleased with the quality of the interior photos but felt the empty rooms were not doing enough to help renters connect with the spaces.

Virtual staging in Denver: furnishing the units

After reviewing our portfolio of virtually staged properties, the client asked us to fill the spaces digitally. We added furniture, rugs, coffee tables, and art that suit the building's style and the size of each room. The goal was to give every image a lived-in feel while keeping the architecture, finishes, and light exactly as they are. See our virtual staging services for more.

Multifamily photography in Denver, Colorado for leasing

The staged images are now used to lease and rent the property. Furnished photos help renters understand room sizes, picture their own furniture, and compare floor plans. For leasing teams, they are a fast way to market units before models are ready or when furnishing every unit type is not practical.

Leasing photos in Denver: staging done responsibly

Virtual staging should show what a space can look like, not change the space itself. We keep walls, windows, fixtures, and finishes untouched, and we recommend marking staged images as virtually staged in listings. That keeps the marketing honest and avoids surprises when prospective renters tour the unit.

Combining staging with other multifamily media

Many multifamily projects pair staged unit photos with amenity photography, drone views of the building and neighborhood, and Matterport tours. Planning these together keeps the look consistent across the leasing website and listing sites. Our multifamily photography page explains the options.

Frequently asked questions

What is multifamily virtual staging?

Multifamily virtual staging means digitally adding furniture, rugs, decor, and art to photos of empty apartment units. It helps renters understand scale and imagine living in the space, without the cost and logistics of furnishing model units before a building opens or between leases.

Why did the developer choose virtual staging?

The interior photos of the new building were well received, but the empty units felt bare and made it harder for renters to connect with the spaces. Virtual staging filled the rooms digitally and gave the images a lived-in feel that supports leasing.

Does virtual staging change the actual unit?

No. Responsible virtual staging adds furniture and decor while leaving walls, windows, flooring, fixtures, and finishes as they are. We recommend labeling staged images as virtually staged in listings so renters know what to expect when they tour the unit in person.

Can you stage several unit types in one building?

Yes. Multifamily projects often include studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. We photograph each unit type and stage it to suit the room sizes and the building's style, so the leasing website shows a consistent look across every floor plan.

How do I start a virtual staging project?

Book interior photography of the units, or send existing high-quality photos for review, and tell us the style and unit types you want staged. Our team confirms the scope and delivers staged images ready for your leasing website and listing sites.

How long does virtual staging take?

Timing depends on the number of images and unit types. Once the interior photos are approved, staging is completed in editing and delivered for review. Share your leasing launch date when you book so photography and staging can be scheduled to meet it.

Can you virtually stage photos taken by someone else?

In many cases, yes, as long as the photos are high resolution, well exposed, and shot with level verticals. Send a few samples for review first. If the images are not suitable, our team can reshoot the units so the staged results look natural and accurate.
