Quick answer
Picture framing Denver homes order from Rocky Mountain Photography combines custom frames, mats, and glazing with a photographer's eye for how an image looks on the wall. We frame photo prints, fine art, posters, and keepsakes for homes and offices, recommending materials that protect the piece and suit its style, and we can print your photo before framing it.
Picture framing in Denver can make an ordinary print look like a gallery piece, or make a treasured photo look cheap. The difference is in the details: the right frame width, a mat that gives the image room to breathe, glazing that reduces glare, and materials that will not yellow or damage the artwork over time. Good framing protects and presents at the same time.
Rocky Mountain Photography was founded in 2016 by brothers Jeff and Nick Perry in Denver. Our framing service grew from our printing work, as clients wanted finished, ready-to-hang pieces rather than loose prints. We frame wedding and family portraits, landscape photos, art prints, posters, diplomas, jerseys, and office artwork, often printing and framing in a single order so everything matches.
Framing choices start with the piece and the room. A wide, simple black frame suits modern photography, while natural wood suits warm landscapes and cabins, and a thin metal frame keeps attention on the image. Mats separate the art from the glass, add visual breathing room, and can be single or double with a colored inner edge. For valuable or sentimental pieces, acid-free mats and backing help prevent yellowing and damage over time. Glazing options include standard glass, acrylic that is lighter and shatter resistant for large pieces or kids' rooms, and glare-reducing or UV-filtering options for bright rooms and pieces that need extra protection from fading. Colorado's high-altitude sunlight is strong, so UV protection is worth considering for anything hung near windows. We show samples and explain tradeoffs in plain language, so you can choose a frame that fits the art, the room, and your budget.
Many clients bring a digital photo rather than a print. In that case, we prepare the file, check resolution for the chosen size, adjust color if needed, and print it on fine art or photo paper before framing. Because we control both steps, the print size, mat opening, and frame fit together exactly, without trimming important parts of the image. This is especially helpful for portraits from our family photography and wedding photography sessions, where clients want heirloom pieces. For a frameless look, our stretched canvas prints are an alternative, and canvas can also be placed in a floating frame for a finished edge. Large photos for lobbies and offices can be produced through our large format printing service and framed for commercial installation with secure hardware. We also frame multiple pieces to match for gallery walls.
Businesses frame artwork for lobbies, conference rooms, and offices, often as part of our office art furnishing projects. Consistent frames across a series create a polished, intentional look, and we can match existing frames in your space. We also frame certificates, awards, project photos, and signed items for reception areas and client gifts. For personal keepsakes, like a child's artwork, a concert poster, a jersey, or a collection of travel photos, we design frames that present and protect the item. Shadow boxes add depth for objects. To order, bring or send your piece or file, the approximate size you want, and where it will hang. We will recommend options, provide a quote, and confirm turnaround. Pickup is available in Denver, and delivery and hanging can be arranged for larger or multiple pieces, especially for commercial projects.
