Organizing and archiving a video library
The first step is an inventory. We gather videos and raw footage from drives, cloud folders, and channels you point us to, then build a catalog of what exists: finished edits, versions, raw interviews, B-roll, aerials, and graphics. Each item gets consistent names, dates, descriptions, and tags, such as location, people, product, or campaign, so anyone on your team can search for what they need.
We then recommend a structure for long-term storage, separating working files from archives and making sure important raw footage has a backup. If you prefer a particular platform for asset management, we organize files to fit it; if not, we suggest a simple, sustainable setup your team can maintain. Duplicates and outdated drafts are flagged so you can decide what to keep. The goal is a library that still makes sense a year from now.
