Quick answer
Rocky Mountain Photography produces tilt up video in Denver for contractors, concrete subcontractors, and developers. We capture panel pours, crane lifts, bracing, and the finished warehouse shell with ground cameras, timelapse, and Part 107 drone footage, with airspace checked before every flight. Deliverables include edited MP4 films, social clips, and progress photos.
Tilt up video captures one of the most dramatic sequences in construction. Concrete wall panels, cast flat on the floor slab, are lifted by crane and tilted into position, turning an empty slab into a building shell in a matter of days. For contractors and concrete crews, it is a showcase of planning and precision. For developers, it is a visible sign that a warehouse or distribution center is coming to life.
Rocky Mountain Photography, founded in Denver in 2016 by brothers Jeff and Nick Perry, films tilt up projects across the Front Range, where large industrial and logistics buildings are common. We combine ground footage, timelapse, and drone flights by Part 107-certified pilots to show the full process, from forming and pouring panels to the final lift, while staying clear of crane operations and crews.
A tilt up project has distinct stages, and each makes good footage. Slab and panel forming show the layout, rebar, embeds, and window or door openings. Panel pours show concrete placement and finishing across the slab. Lift day is the highlight, with the crane rigging each panel, tilting it upright, setting it on footings, and crews installing braces. Timelapse captures the shell rising panel by panel in a few seconds of footage, while real-time clips show the care involved in each pick. After the shell is complete, we capture roof structure, the finished exterior, and site work. Drone views from above show panel layout patterns and how the building fills the site. Close ground shots of hands, tools, and rigging add the human craft that aerials alone miss.

Drone work on lift days needs careful coordination. Pilots meet with the superintendent and crane operator, review the lift plan, and stay well clear of the crane, the boom, the panel being lifted, and the swing radius. Often the best aerials are captured between picks, before the lift starts, or at the end of the day, rather than during a lift. Part 107 rules limit flights over people, so we avoid flying over crews and plan angles from the side or from above open areas. Before every flight, we check airspace authorization, which matters for many industrial areas near Denver International and other airports. Wind affects both crane operations and drones, so if a lift is postponed for wind, our flight usually moves with it. Ground cameras keep rolling from safe positions.

Deliverables usually include a short highlight film of lift day, a longer project video that shows the full process, a timelapse of the shell going up, vertical clips for social media, and still photos of key stages. Files arrive as MP4s for web and presentations, with photos as web-ready and full-resolution JPEGs. Contractors use the videos for recruiting, proposals, and trade association awards, and concrete subcontractors use them to show capability to general contractors. Developers and owners use the footage for leasing and investor updates on speculative industrial buildings. For one-day coverage focused on crews, see day-of-work timelapse. For monthly site-wide progress, see construction aerial photography. We plan the edit around your audience, whether that is future clients, recruits, or tenants touring a spec building.

Tilt up construction casts concrete wall panels flat on the floor slab, then lifts them with a crane and tilts them into position. It is common for warehouses, distribution centers, and other large industrial buildings along the Front Range.
Only with coordination and at a safe distance. Pilots review the lift plan with the superintendent and crane operator, stay clear of the crane and panel, and often capture aerials between picks. Airspace is checked before every flight.
Lift day is the most dramatic, but forming, pours, and shell completion also make strong footage. Many contractors film lift day plus a few other stages, or set up a timelapse to capture the whole sequence.
Yes. A timelapse camera placed with a clear view of the slab captures panels rising one by one, compressing days into seconds. It pairs well with real-time footage from ground cameras and drones in the final edit.
Our schedule moves with the lift. Wind affects cranes and drones, so if the superintendent postpones, we reschedule to the new date. We stay in contact with your team in the days before the lift in Denver.
Request a quote with the project address, lift schedule, number of panels, and how the footage will be used. We will coordinate with your superintendent and plan ground, timelapse, and drone coverage. Lift dates can shift.
