Quick answer
Rocky Mountain Photography films time lapse video construction project Denver, CO teams use, plus day-of coverage of concrete pours, panel lifts, roof installs, landscaping, and sign installations. We set up cameras at safe positions, add real-time video, photos, and optional Part 107 drone footage, then deliver an edited film and social clips that show a full day's work in minutes.
Timelapse for construction projects does not always need a camera on a pole for a year. Many of the most impressive jobs happen in a single day: a big concrete pour, a tilt up lift, a roof tear-off and install, a parking lot sealcoat, a large planting project, or a sign going up on a tower. A day-of timelapse captures that work from start to finish and turns it into a short, satisfying video.
Rocky Mountain Photography, founded in Denver in 2016 by brothers Jeff and Nick Perry, shoots day-of timelapse for contractors and service companies across the metro. We combine fixed timelapse cameras with real-time video and photos of crews, which is often called work life photography, so the final piece shows both the transformation and the people who made it happen.
A day-of shoot starts with a short planning call. We learn the job, the start time, the sequence of work, and where crews and equipment will move. On the day, we arrive before work begins and set up one or more cameras at positions agreed with the foreman or superintendent, usually elevated, stable, and out of the way. Cameras capture frames at intervals suited to the pace of the job. Meanwhile, a photographer or videographer captures real-time footage of key moments, close-ups of tools and materials, and crew members at work. For larger jobs, a Part 107 drone pilot adds aerials before work starts and at the end, with airspace checked before every flight. The result is a complete record of the day, from empty site to finished job.

Concrete pours are a favorite, with trucks, pumps, and finishers moving across a slab. Tilt up lift days show walls rising one after another. Roofing crews can tear off and replace a roof in a day, which is striking from above. Sealant and waterproofing projects show crews working across a facade or parking structure. Landscaping companies show bare dirt becoming planted beds, sod, or flower displays. Sign companies show a large sign assembled and installed. Painters, paving crews, and event set-up teams also make strong subjects. The common thread is visible, dramatic change within a working day. If your crews do impressive work that customers rarely see, a day-of timelapse is one of the simplest ways to show it to future customers and recruits.

Along with the timelapse, we capture work life photography of the crew: portraits in PPE, hands on tools, teamwork moments, and equipment in action. These images are valuable for recruiting pages, social media, websites, and safety materials. Deliverables usually include an edited timelapse film with music and branding, a vertical version for short-form social feeds, a set of edited photos, and selected real-time clips. Files arrive as MP4s and JPEGs, with next-day delivery available on many photo shoots and video delivered on an agreed date. For longer projects, see long-term timelapse. For broader crew-focused content, our working life photography packages and commercial drone videography add more coverage. Many clients reuse these crew photos for a year or more across channels.

It is a timelapse that records a single day of work, such as a concrete pour, roof install, or landscaping project. Cameras capture frames all day, and the edit compresses the job into a short video, often combined with real-time clips and photos.
At stable, elevated, and safe positions agreed with the foreman or superintendent, such as a neighboring structure, a lift parked out of the way, or a tripod at the edge of the site. Positions are chosen to show the most change.
Yes. A Part 107-certified pilot can capture aerials before work starts and at the end of the day, with airspace checked before every flight. Drones stay clear of crews and moving equipment throughout the shoot in Denver.
Concrete, roofing, sealant and waterproofing, landscaping, painting, paving, sign installation, and event set-up companies are common clients. Any trade with visible change in a day can benefit from this format. Ask us about your trade.
Photos often arrive the next day, since next-day delivery is available on many photo shoots. The edited timelapse film and social clips are delivered on a date we agree on when booking, based on the length and versions you need.
Request a quote with the job address, date, start time, and type of work, or book online. We will plan camera positions with your foreman and confirm any site safety requirements before the day. Backup dates are set for weather.
