Denver commercial photography by drone helps brokers and owners show what a property really offers: frontage on a busy arterial, access to I-25, a generous truck court, a rooftop deck facing the Front Range. For architects and developers, aerials capture massing, rooflines, and how a building sits in its block, angles that are impossible to get from the sidewalk without a lift.
Rocky Mountain Photography was founded in Denver in 2016 by brothers Jeff and Nick Perry, and we photograph commercial buildings from the ground and the air. Combining both in one team means the aerial images match the interiors and exteriors in color and style. Our pilots are Part 107-certified and insured, and they check airspace authorization before every flight, which matters across much of the metro.
Architectural drone images for Denver buildings
Architectural aerials treat the building as the subject. We fly at heights that keep vertical lines clean and avoid the distorted, top-heavy look of a drone held too close. Common angles include a three-quarter view of the main facade, an eye-level-from-above view that shows the entry and canopy, and a straight-down roof view that highlights mechanical screens, solar arrays, or green roofs. Light is everything for architecture, so we plan around sun angle, often shooting the primary facade when it is front-lit and returning for a twilight session when interior lighting and glass are part of the design story. Architects and contractors use these images for award submissions, proposals, and portfolios, while owners use them in leasing and investor materials. Ground-level work from our architectural photographers completes the set.
Aerial images that support a commercial listing
For brokers, aerials sell location as much as the building. We capture context shots in several directions so the listing can show nearby highways, light rail stations, retail anchors, and residential density. Site shots show parking, loading docks, yard space, and access points. When you provide the parcel boundary or site plan, we can add clean outlines, labels for major roads, and callouts for nearby landmarks, which brokers often place in offering memorandums and flyers. Multi-tenant properties benefit from shots that show signage visibility from approach roads. For land and redevelopment sites, aerials show what surrounds the parcel and how it might be accessed. We keep graphics factual and based on your documents, so the images help a tenant or buyer make decisions rather than overselling.
Files, timing, and how to prepare the property
Deliverables include edited full-resolution JPEGs for print and web-ready versions for listing platforms and email campaigns, with annotated versions when graphics are part of the order. Next-day delivery is available on many photo shoots, while annotated sets take a little longer. To prepare, ask property management to clear dumpsters, carts, and temporary signs from visible areas, sweep the entry, and turn on exterior lighting for twilight sessions. Let tenants know a drone will be overhead. We need the address and any restrictions on site access, rooftop takeoff, or nearby properties. Wind and clouds affect results, so we may shift the shoot by a day for better conditions. If you also need moving footage, our real estate drone video can be captured on the same visit.
