Booking a holiday party photographer in Denver, CO is one of the easiest ways to make a company celebration last beyond the night itself. The party is often the one time the whole team, partners, and sometimes families are in one room. Good photos become a thank-you to employees, a culture post for recruiting, and a fun memory people actually want to download.
Rocky Mountain Photography was founded in 2016 by brothers Jeff and Nick Perry in Denver. December is our busiest event season, and we photograph company parties at hotels, restaurants, breweries, rooftop venues, offices, and mountain lodges. Our photographers dress for the occasion, keep a light touch with guests, and know how to make dark, festive rooms look warm and inviting.
What we capture at holiday parties
Holiday party coverage starts with the decor, lights, tablescapes, and venue before guests arrive. As people come in, we photograph arrivals, small groups of coworkers, and partners or families in front of a festive backdrop. During the party, we capture candid conversations, the leadership toast, any year-end awards or recognition, games like white elephant exchanges, entertainment, and the dance floor. Group photos of departments or the whole company are planned at a moment when everyone is present, usually right after the toast, so they happen quickly. Many companies add a step-and-repeat or portrait station, which gives every guest a polished photo and keeps them coming back throughout the evening. Families and kids are photographed respectfully, and we follow any guidance about guests who prefer not to be photographed or posted online.
Lighting dark, festive venues
Holiday parties are usually held in dim, warmly lit spaces with candles, string lights, and colored uplighting. That atmosphere looks wonderful in person but challenges cameras. Our photographers use fast lenses and discreet, bounced flash to keep faces bright and natural while preserving the glow of the room, avoiding the harsh, washed-out look of direct flash. For rooftop or outdoor elements in Denver's December weather, we keep coverage short and plan for cold. We photograph the room from multiple angles to show the setting and capture people from flattering angles, steering clear of mouths full of food. Editing balances color across mixed lighting so skin tones look natural and your brand colors stay accurate. If the evening includes a slideshow or stage moment, we time coverage to catch it without blocking the view of guests watching from their tables.
Booking early and getting photos fast
December dates fill quickly, especially the first three Fridays of the month, so book as soon as your venue is confirmed. Share your schedule, guest count, and any must-have shots, such as the CEO's toast or award winners. Coverage of two to four hours usually captures the peak of the party; package options are explained on our event photography packages page. Many companies ask for a handful of highlight images the next morning for a thank-you email or LinkedIn post, followed by the full gallery. Galleries are easy for employees to browse and download, and usage for internal communications and social media is included. For a recap video, add event video production. Companies hosting client holiday events, or year-end celebrations in January, use the same approach, and the overall corporate event photographer page covers year-round events.
